However, in spite of the amazing functions of the internet to help human’s life, people should be aware of its disadvantages.

The Internet can provide information without any limits and filters. Because of that, there is no guarantee that we can trust the information from internet. There are a lot of fake news or commonly called as ‘hoax’ that are spread on the internet. Sometimes, these hoaxes just become jokes that can entertain the reader, but sometimes, these hoaxes become very popular and cause panic to the people. The limitless of internet also cause the easy spread of negative content such as pornography. This should be a concern of parents to guide and guard their children to prevent their children from negative information or content spread on the internet.

Piracy is another disadvantage of using the internet. Internet has been the best place to download or access commercial things such as songs, movies and software for free. People can download it from many file-sharing websites on the internet. This behavior has been the concern among artists and developers. Piracy harms the artists and developers because they are not getting paid and appreciation for what they have made. Piracy is difficult to stop because there are too many file-sharing websites on the internet so that blocking some websites is not enough to stop piracy.
