Part I Business process Analysis for the UR UMUC Healthy Fitness Center Case Study

Business process Analysis can give you a top-level overview of the factors that affect the Fitness Center and its potential for success. The strategic area of UMUC Healthy Fitness Center identified in Stage 1 is customer related activities such as attracting new customers. This strategic area has a process that supports it. At UR UMUC Healthy Fitness Center, the related customer process is: in-store purchase processing and in-store and online payment process and hours of operation. In part 1 our focus is to improve the business processes of the Fitness Center. The process I have previously identified for improvement is: Processing customer’s order or request. This process will have its own team and will use a specific model to analyze the process to be improved.

Once the team is formed, the next step is for the team to distinguish the “As Is process”

Here we will model the process as it is currently performed at the Fitness Center.
