Edited by Paul Peeters Ing. Paul Peeters (1957) is Associate Professor at the Academy of Tourism Management of NHTV Breda University for Applied Sciences and coordinator of the NHTV Centre for Sustainable Tourism and Transport. After a four year career as aircraft engineer at the preliminary design office of Fokker Aircraft, he worked for 18 years as a consultant on a range of subjects concerning the sustainable development of transport, including development of many scenario’s. He published over 30 reports, some 40 conference papers, (co-)authored 10 reviewed journal articles and several book chapters. Since his appointment as associate professor at NHTV Breda University for Applied Sciences his work focussed on the impact of tourism transport on climate change.

The ‘NHTV Academic Studies’ were founded in 2005. The series will contain results of research, PhD theses and scientific books by NHTV scholars.
