Introduction

Communication. How we communicate with each other is vital to the exchange of ideas and information. We as human being are driven through communication, and without it, our existence can be filled with constant frustrations. Our communication skills enable us to understand not just words, but thoughts, ideal, values, and worldviews. Whether we communicate verbally or through the written word, being and active communicator is part of successful communication. The most vital piece of information we can share with mankind today is that of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. A gospel that is complex and sometimes beyond our comprehension, yet is as simple accepting and believing. In such a diverse world, with a myriad of cultures, races, nationalities, and religious beliefs, it is a serious challenge for the missional minded Christian to formulate a cross-cultural ministry strategy. Communication of the Gospel to the myriad of cultures in today’s diverse society is not excluded from cultural barriers. When one fails to thoroughly prepare for entering the cross-cultural mission field, success in the mission is not likely.
