CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Child pornography and child exploitation have increased in recent years due to new electronic and imaging technological advances. This has raised plenty of issues, whereby different scholars, in addition to giving their views on the causes of the same. Children are exposed to pornography through the following ways; firstly, they are naturally curious about the world around them. As they grow older they become increasingly curious about sex and develop an active sex drive. (Lanning 2010) Secondly, due to the fact that children are aware their very survival depends on these powerful adults as they as well respect the adults, may fall for the vice. (Money is also another that that makes the children be exposed to pornography from an earlier stage of life. (Pence, and Wilson, 1994).

However, they have not just stopped there, they have provided some recommendations to respond to this form of child abuse. The first being, the American senate has urged the legislative council to assign to the sentencing policy study committee, inter alia, "the use of cellular telephones to send explicit photographs and video ('sexting'), especially by children. (Graw, 2010). These measures are also directed the dissemination and sale of pornography to minors (Klain, Davies, and Hicks,2001). In addition, there are also several organizations in this country and around the world that openly voice a far different attitude about adult sex with children. For example, Pedophile Information Exchange (PIE), Child Sensuality Circle among others offering the same.

From the above observations, it can be summarized and concluded that child pornography is actually a global disaster and the war against it has been quite involving. This at one level is due to the fact that the people who expose children to such are using it as their way of getting income making it very difficult to confront the problem head-on.
