The first girl who came on was talking about solar powered roadways. I actually thought it was a really good idea. Usually I’m not too involved with issues like this, but I felt like it was very informative and gave a lot of great points as to why solar powered roadways should be turned into reality. As always, cost is the main issue from stopping this from happening, being $56 trillion dollars to repave the whole nation, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a good idea. In fact, after hearing her speech, I’m all for this change considering how safe and efficient it seems.

The next person who talked was named Matt, I believe, who talked about fate. I loved this because he brought up Ignition (Remix) by R. Kelly, which happens to be one of the greatest songs ever. It was amazing how quickly he could come up with such a lengthy speech while making it funny as well. I also felt like this speech was very informative, considering he was throwing out facts about Melody, the jazz singer from New York, and the man who was behind Softsilk soap. His speech really made me think about fate and how it affects things in life, and if you reject it, the path you are on can completely change.

Nicole's speech was really powerful to me. Revenge porn has been a very big issue in my life, unfortunately. When I was 18, a similar situation she talked about happened to me and hearing her talk about this topic brought me back to that time in my life. Listening to what she had to say and all the people that deal with this type of stuff broke my heart. I’m glad she talked about the laws that do and do not protect people and it made me think about how my situation could have been handled and how I could have taken action. She spoke with such conviction that it made me want to get involved and help push people to get these laws enforced to make sure victims are protected from being hurt and exposed this way.
