Business Case for SCSU IS Facebook Fan Page

1.0 Introduction/ BackgroundThe main priority of our campaign is to provide as much information about our Departmental news, New and Existing Course Offerings, Scholarships Opportunities Success Stories, Notable News and Events to our current and prospective students. |

2.0 Business ObjectiveOur main objective is to let current students keep abreast with latest news and Updates about the IS department as well as reaching out to prospective students through Facebooks networking which will in return |

3.0 Current Situation and Problem/Opportunity StatementAbout 85% of students in supported colleges have a profile up on Facebook. That’s 3.85 million members. Chris tells me that 60% log in daily. About 85% log in at least once a week, and 93% log in at least once a month.We are off to great start with almost 100 likes within One week.In near future we aim to make it towards 1000 fan base and with more campaign and possible paid targeted campaigns we are hoping to engage with prospective students to Get Admission to IS Department. |

4.0 Critical Assumption and Constraints * Keeping the Page highly active and constant monitoring is critical to its success. * Somewhere down the line Paid campaign need to take into consideration for greater reach. |

5.0 Analysis of Options and Recommendation * Work closely with Universities Communication services for advertisement. * Allow non student or alumni to engage with our page * Coming up with more innovative Ideas, Events and Better Co-operation with SCSU’s other fan page. |
