a) Andrew's argument is completely irrational . First he has falsified a claim that means he has lied and has committed a fraud . Charged a company more on the pretext that he is being over worked and under paid. His argument is completely wrong , and is un ethical and illegal. Andrew at the same time has raised a red flag by claiming that the company's practiced belief is every one steal from the company and no one is honest so he is entitled to over charge also. To conclude Andrew is wrong and has an in correct and baseless argument

b) Personally instead of just telling him of what wrong Andrew had done , a more stricter approach could had been taken. As a friend I would have told him of his wrong doing and at the same time should have conveyed him a message that he was wrong and my job description forced me to take action if he himself did not rectify his own purposefully committed mistake .

c) First Andrew has been warned verbally and as he has refused to return what he has taken by telling a lie , action should be taken according to the company's policy and friendship should be take a side. The reason being as he is an employee I am an employee there too. In the future if I do not take an action I am as involved in the theft as is Andrew.

d) The company's control system should be designed in such a way that the when a travel is undertaken by an agent all the reservations should be made by the head office and the payments by the accounts department should be sent directly to those service providers. Any other variables that come into account when the trip is undertaken must be pre assigned and prefixed payment should be reimbursed. Any claims of an unusual amount should be taken into strict notice and the internal auditor should double check the claims on random.
