History

The language that we speak, the food that we ear and the clothes that we wear have a deep connection with history. Language, without which life is almost impossible, was initiated by our own ancestors. Our ancestors did not have many options, however, their use of ideas, concepts and knowledge have provided us with the luxury of a car, the convenience of an airplane and the initiation of an education system.

Life has been made a whole lot easier and convenient by the setting of their discoveries and inventions. If Thomas Alva Edison had not invented the light bulb, many other invention would not be possible. The passion and drive which the historical people have shown is seen today too in people like the visionary Steve Jobs who revolutionized the world of technology with his imagination and drive that comes from within.

History is the source from where the basic inventions, theories, ideas and concepts have emerged from. Hence I feel that an unwise person may ignore the benefits that history endows.

However, there are drawbacks which history is known for. History provides the knowledge that a particular nation was captured and tortured by another and these results in animosity, hatred and hostility. The history of todays mistakes may give rise to future conflicts between the nation and people all over the world.

History is a subject matter that cannot totally be ignored. No matter how much, one tries to push the past away, it is always thought of or reflected upon in certain situations and circumstances in peoples daily lives. Such is the sheer power of history. An individual should look at the positive part and learn from their mistakes in order to create a better history for tomorrow. The foolishness of a person is however noticed when he or she does not make use of the resources which history provides and when situations demands it.
