The Open Aid Partnership ('OAP') brings together development
partners to enhance the openness and effectiveness of development
assistance. The OAP’s focus is to help surface and 'open' aid data as
well as geocode these aid activities and visualize them on an Open
Aid Map (available soon at openaidmap.org). To date, the OAP has
been endorsed by Sweden, Spain, Estonia, Canada, the World Bank,
ONE, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Finland, the Czech Republic,
InterAction, and Publish What You Fund. The OAP further aims to
document opportunities and challenges in Nepal for sustaining and
integrating aid mapping into aid planning and management and
disseminate the lessons learned, as well as to build local capacity for
sustainable and effective use of geo-enabled aid data.
Open Nepal Week is a partnership driven series of event spread over
five days which aims to raise awareness about open data in Nepal and
to devise mechanisms to help citizens reach to such data. Open Nepal
is a collective effort of a coalition of organizations including Freedom
Forum, NGO Federation of Nepal, Young Innovations and the aidinfo
program at Development Initiatives. These events are supported by
