Analytical Report: CSI Effect in the Jury Box
Transmittal Letter
Dear Judges of the Supreme Court,
Enclosed is the report you requested on 27 March 2016 on the possibility of a CSI effect in the courtroom.
This report examines the issues with juror's unreasonable expectations in the courtroom for scientific data to convict in a criminal case. These expectations are said to have derived from watching crime scene television shows that misconstrue the actual analysis of forensic evidence. Also discussed is our ever changing society and the advances in technology, which can also be where the expectations stem from.
I hope you find this report satisfactory.
Sincerely,
Naomi M. Shady

Purpose
This report analyzes the possibility of a CSI effect within the criminal justice system. This effect manipulates jurors to have an unrealistic expectation of forensic science during a criminal trial and affects their decisions.
