Technical Project Manager | Acorns

Acorns is seeking a Technical Project Manager to partner with the Engineering team to initiate and deliver core projects and feature developments that support the continued innovation of Acorns as a revolutionary investing service.

Job Description:

* Partner with Engineering team to provide end-to-end leadership and execution of key project requests

* Facilitate stand-up sessions with key stakeholders to initiate and define project goals, scope, deliverables, resource allocation, and timelines

* Collaborate with VP of Product to prioritize, and determine internal resource capacity to ensure on-time completion of deliverables  

* Directly manage all steps of project delivery, focusing on project deadlines and providing strategic insight to potential risk or delays

* Document life of project through task lists, transparent reporting, and scheduling software

* Develop tools, best practices, and documentation for project management and related processes

Desired Skills and Experience

Job Requirements:

* BA/BS degree required

* 1-3 years of of project management experience

* Demonstrated ability to lead teams to deliver strategic and business goals

* Capable of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

* Strong sense of purpose with a passion for living in the details and exceeding expectations

* Problem-solver with solution-oriented attitude

* Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal)

* Process oriented and highly organized  

* Experience using and administering project management tools like JIRA, Trello, Phabricator
