Topic: Women are not effective managers as men?

The topics of the utilization and the potential of women both in daily life and workplace have already caused wide attention globally in the contemporary world. Due to stereotypic attitudes, the overall leadership competence of women in organization was less favorably evaluated than men’s in the past. However, women are taking increasingly significant role in dealing with work affairs now. Sex alone should not be the only one standard that disqualifies a woman from being an effective role, even in a traditionally masculine occupation (Herbert & Yost, 1978). Compared with men, the main objective of this essay is to analyze the important roles of women in the context of workplace and states that women can be as effective as or even more effective men. This essay will firstly discuss the status quo of women in workplace. Following this, there will be a detailed analysis on the positive impacts of women as effective leaders on organization, from the aspects of being good communicators, community builders, strong business ethics, more patience and good at activating passion respectively. In addition, factors which might negatively influence the effectiveness of women managers in organization will be discussed. Finally, this essay will analyze how to improve the effectiveness of women managers in workplace.

When it comes to being considered or perceived as effective leaders, women can be considered as highly as men (Wajcman, 2013). Women have the capabilities and abilities to be good managers in the organization.
