What has racism solved over the past? Nothing. SO why do people continue this greedy, hatred over another person for something that they can not control. A persons different race or belief has nothing to do with how a person should view somebody else. The truth is that, still until this day in age, It does..

Racism is the discrimination of a different race or races and is the thought of one race or color of skin has more physical/mental abilities than another. A lot of racism existed in the 1900s and with the help of some, most of it stopped. But now it’s coming back. So why do we think such things of other people? Is it really right to think of people differently because of the color of their skin? Today I want to discuss some of the Different types of racism, different points in history and open the door to you about this unnecessary, violent hatred for another man or woman.

The Ku Klux Klan: KKK

Six college students founded the Ku Klux Klan between December 1865 and the summer of 1866

Former Civil war General Nathan Bedford Forrest appointed grand Wizard

Grand Wizard = National leader

The group was known for a short time as the "Kuklux Clan

Used public violence against blacks as intimidation.

Wear masks and robes that hid their identities.

KKK is most famous White supremacist group

In 1980, three KKK members shot four black women in Tennessee following a KKK initiation rally.

Attempted murder charges filed against all three. 2 acquitted and 1 sentenced to 9 months in prison. Released after three.

A study conducted shows that 97% of people surveyed disapprove of the KKK and what they stand for.
