The issue on terminating employees is one no organization wants to deal with. Sometimes these decisions are made due to lack of performance or the inability of the employee to understand their specific duties. If the situation is that of no importance employees are terminated without cause but certain determining factors must be in place in order to terminate an employee and not have the company liable.

Age is an issue that has become a factor of importance when terminating an employee. Employers in the past did not require to keep this factor in mind when it came to terminating employees. Working for an “at will” state employers have used this as an advantage in the past.

A company in Miami Florida decided to bring in a few gentlemen to review company staff and finances. These individuals came into the organization with one thing in mind “change”. The company has been open for a total of 20 years with nothing but success until the past few months things have been going down hill and there was no means of locating the issue from internal sites. The Chief Executive Officer decided that he needed to act quickly and that was the reason why he decided on calling in these charge agents.

The advisors for three weeks reviewed files from every department trying to locate a reason for the recent down fall of cash inflow. They reviewed all of the student files and reviewed to ledgers to see if the reason was lack of student payments. The believed that there was no solution in site until on advisor decided to review the employees at the company. The first reviewed employee files, making sure they understood each of the employees job descriptions. After they achieved learning each of the employees functions they dedicated one week of observations.
