Samsung, the Korean consumer electronic giant, was founded in 1938 by the chairman Byung-Chull Lee. Samsung started its productions with Black-and-White TV in 1970. Today, this company is the leader in flat-panel TVs and memory chips and the number two player in mobile phones because of its product innovation and brand building in the last decade. Moreover, Samsung has become a global leader by manufacturing both components for electronics products and the actual devices sold to consumers. In 2008, Samsung reached its record sales of $100 billion and company’s CEO, Lee Yoon-woo, made announcement about the goal of $400 billion in sales by the year 2020.
