1. INTRODUCTION
Project work is an important part of the course curriculum and it is mandatory to all students. Through direct participation in project work, students learn to identify problems, work out the methodology, acquire necessary skills, and finally implement the solution in both effective and/or creative manners to achieve the expected goals.
Projects are normally of the ‘design-and-make’, ‘creative’ and/or ‘problem-solving’ nature. They prepare students to deal with real-life situations or working environments, which they will embark upon completion of their studies. Although individual project topics may vary considerably from one to another, they usually possess certain common aspects or tasks as listed below
Literature Survey, Research and Analysis
Definition of Concept, Scope and Methodology
Project Planning and Budgeting
Design, Development, and Implementation
The Deliverables: Presentation, Mobile Apps, Documentation and so on.
Emphasis will be given on the application of knowledge and skills that the students have learnt, in order to achieve the best possible solution within the constraints and time frame imposed.
2. OBJECTIVES
Through active participation in project work, a student should be able to:
develop creativity and application skills within the scope and subject area as covered by the project,
develop the ability of self-study and self-organisation of work as demanded by various activities associated with the project,
gain hands-on experience in implementing the solution; and, in due course of the solution implementation, develop communication and interpersonal skills through group discussions, presentation of findings, and other collaborative activities,
