CORPORACION “EL ROSADO” S.A.

Corporacion “El Rosado” is an Ecuadorian corporation founded in 1936. Among its companies, El Rosado has one of the largest supermarket chains, toy stores, cinemas, department stores and hardware stores in the country. The corporation's goals are to purchase and resale, import and export, industrialization and commercialization in national and international markets, wholesale and retail of all kinds of food, clothing, liquor, etc. These goals are reached through its subsidiaries: Hipermarket, Mi Comisariato, Mi Jugueteria, Rio Store, Radio Disney, Walt Disney company trade representative for Ecuador, Supercines, and Chilli’s.

In 2015 Corporacion “El Rosado” had net sales of $1,076 million USD, and a total net income of $39 million UDS. With a profit margin ratio of 3.62% overall, this corporation has a 28.69% market share in Ecuador.

GENERAL MOTORS DEL ECUADOR S.A.

It is an Ecuadorian auto assembly plant, located the city of Quito. With 1,063 million UDS in gross sales, currently it is the largest auto assemblers in Ecuador. Engineering processes, welding, painting, assembly and quality control all supervised directly by General Motors. GM Ecuador is the subsidiary of the US multinational corporation and uses parts and components both developed and imported from different plants of General Motors in foreign countries (such as Colombia, Argentina, Mexico and Venezuela), as manufactured by domestic suppliers.

GM Ecuador generated 6.99% profit margin over their $64 million USD net sales in 2015. Being one of the largest companies and the one of the few car assemblers in Ecuador they are positioned in 5th place on sales in the country.
