Due to limited time, budget and resources, we only can use four internet services to communication with HK citizens and environmental organizations. Now I suggest the following of four internet services to do that, message board and chat rooms, newsgroups, e-mail and World Wide Web.

Message board and Chat Rooms

This is a most popular web-based type of discussion group. It is because that it doesn’t require a newsreader is a message board also they are easier to use. A chat is a real-time typed conversation that takes place on a computer. A chat room is a location on an Internet server that permits users to chat with each other. Some chat rooms support voice chats and video chats. In HK, this method is most popular to promote something to others especially young people. The most popular platform in HK is Facebook. July 2014, according to the data released by Facebook, there are 3.8 million daily active users, more than 4.4 million people login per month, market penetration rate up to 60%, it’s the top of the Asia.

Newsgroups

A newsgroup is an online area in which users have written discussions about a particular subject. The popular of the forum are HK Golden and HK discuss. We can open a topic about environment in HK golden or HK discuss to discuss with HK people, so people in the post can read and reply to the environment message.

E-Mail

Nowadays, E-mail is a very popular way to communication in business because it is formal. I guess it is a good way to communication with HK citizens and environmental organizations. It can upload some files with the e-mail, for example photos, documents.

World Wide Web

The World Wide Web (WWW, or Web consists of a worldwide collection of electronic documents. Each electronic document on the Web is called a Web page, which can text, graphics, audio, or video. Web pages usually have built-in connections to other documents. A Web site is a collection of related Web pages and associated items stored on a Web server.
