Introduction:
Today I am going to share with you and explain the importance of public administration and the
impact that it has on managerial practices. When you think about Public Administration, each
employee in a business setting carries out functions that are imperative when considering a
career in any field. Whether dealing with community or responding to a hostage situation on the
highway, the importance of understanding public administration and how it impacts your career
is essential. In order for managers to be successful in the field of Public Administration he/she
will need to have skills and understand of the following:

A Manger With Working Knowledge Will Be Able To:
● Leadership In order to influence people in a positive manner effective leadership is
essential to obtain organizational goals and to carry out the mission. Leaders must be
able to motivate, provide guidance and influence others to accomplishing personal and
organization goals. Leadership builds morale in employees entrusting their employer,
builds character and also helps employees understand that they are appreciated and
understand the work. In public administration it is imperative that managers exercise
good leadership because you are always in the public eye.

Decisionmaking Following leadership, decisionmaking is imperative in a business
setting. Managers should have the ability to make decisions and to influence others that
the decisions that they are made with not adversely impact the business and its
employees.
