1. Explain the functions of assessment in learning and development?

Assessments in learning and Developement are carried out to evaluate that learning has taken place within the Candidate’s work place. It measures the Candidate’s knowledge and skills within their particular learning area. Assessments should encourage the Candidate to ask questions on anything that they have not fully understood,

The Candidate will know that they will have to prove their knowledge and understanding during assessment process set out by the Assessor. This is to meet the standard set by the awarding body.

The anticipated outcome of assessment is that the Candidate will complete the assessments within the time frame agreed between the Assessor and the Candidate.
