Topic: The topic I am going to choose is Chinese culture and its diversity in California. My paper will give you a lot of information about the subculture of Chinese immigrants in Los Angeles based on the works they pursue, the community they live, and then analyze the diversity of managing Chinese employee.

Rationale: According to the news reported by NBC, 40000 Chinese immigrated to US in 2008, nearly 80% of the newly immigrants live in California. As the population of this group of people is growing rapidly, and most of newly immigrants are well educated, so I think it is necessary and meaningful to research. More or less, it will help manager to know some basic cultural information and help to achieve a better management.

Goal: The goal of this paper is to help reader to obtain a better understanding about general Chinese culture. Moreover, the readers will figure out the ways to communicate with them, get along with them, and work with them. As Chinese immigrants are from a country with a totally different political system, so, I will also try to decrease prejudices for political aspect.

Audience: hopefully, this paper will be a good source for people who don’t know about California’s Chinese subculture. So, the audiences generally include my course instructor, my classmates and the managers whose companies hire Chinese employees.

Data: I will get the latest source on Chinese immigrates population in California and the pictures about Chinese culture, probably some news articles about my research field.

Literature review: I get most of my information form Economics (magazine) and the Los Angeles times (News Paper) , online source from CNN, I may also use some Chinese news papers publish in California to get a more object information.
