1. Summarize Kennedy's message in the first three paragraphs.

-He’s addressing that we’ve fought very hard for a long period of time for our freedom and we have finally attained it.

2. Summarize Kennedy's message in paragraphs 4 to 10. Kennedy is saying that we will do anything to be free under any circumstances.

-He is addressing the choice to helping our alias and neighbors that are pursuing freedom and that if we are divided we won’t be able to achieve freedom.

3. In paragraph 11, Kennedy states "Finally, to those nations who would make themselves our adversary," to which nations do you think he is referring?

-He is referring to any nation that wants to be our enemy.

4. What does Kennedy propose in paragraphs 14–19? (briefly summarize)

-Kennedy tells the audience that instead of wasting our time and efforts fighting wars, they could work together and use science for virtuous conduct instead of violence. He wants to work out every disagreement with other nations.

5. In paragraph 23, what is "this historic effort"?

-The “historic effort” would be the global alliance, because it would be a historic event. The world has never been united; therefore creating a truly historic effort.

6. In your opinion, did Kennedy present a clear vision of what and how his administration intended to proceed? Explain your answer.

-I believe Kennedy presented his vision to the people very clearly and so eloquently. He provided several examples that supported his ideas, which tells me that he is very serious about this topic.
