Training and development program of BizLab

Referring to Group Project 1, we found that the CFO of BizLab, Mr. Prashanta Ghimire is quite fit in all the three assessments (ability assessment, value assessment and personality assessment) and we found out that there exist proper person-job fit. However, in a few areas Mr. Ghimire have scored low, and he somehow lags behind in the following areas:

* Ability Assessment- planning and forecasting skills

* Value Assessment- courage, ambition, board mindedness

* Personality Assessment- agreeableness

Mr. Ghimire, as a CFO, is mostly involved in decision making and strategic planning which has high significance for the organization. Planning and forecasting skill is of prior importance when it comes to top management functions, so we decided to conduct training and development in this area for him.

* Training process:

1. Training needs assessment

This is the first step of the training process in which the training needs of the CFO is assessed, and it is dealt in detail in the following headings:

* Determine required training:

The training is basically focused on the enhancing the planning and forecasting skill of the current employee i.e. the CFO of BizLab.

* Organization Analysis:

* Company strategy & goal:

The company has a goal to increase its investment avenues/ horizons and decrease its investment risk, and for attaining that goal BizLab has the strategy for investing and diversifying its investment in different sectors.

* Training budget/ resources:

BizLab has allocated the budget of Rs.15000 for the training & development program. Along with the budget, the company also provides its office space, computers and projectors, etc for the training program to happen.
