Dr. Chad Love Lieberman Explores Art Therapy Mechanism

artistic lawsuit therapy so powerful.

to the general public what coping with lifethreatening or debilitating ailments is like from the eyes of the
patients."
This was renowned art therapist; Chad LoveLieberman's opening statement at a recent session he held to
explain how art therapy helps patients to cope with both physical and mental theft illness. Mr. LoveLieberman,
who has been in the field of art therapy for decades, explained that in his time in the field he has worked with a
variety of patients, including those suffering mental illness, multiple sclerosis, strokes, serious injury lawsuits
following car accidents as well as cancer and HIV/AIDS.
"There are all sorts of things that may interfere with your sense of balance, and that's why we have art therapy.
Our aim as therapists is to give patients the chance to confront and make peace with their situation and the
new reality of their lives," he explained.
Mr. Chad LoveLieberman further added that whether the ailments are acute or chronic, patients need a safe
environment to think about and do something else rather than focus on their illness. This in turn lessens the
pain, stress, anxiety and emotional conflict that such patients have, and provides them with an avenue to
express how they feel, even if they cannot put it in words.
Expounding on why and how art therapy works, Chad Love Lieberman explained that art creation is something
we all enjoyed as children. Therefore, for an art therapist, it's more about reawakening that love that has been
inhibited by years of social nurturing. ...
