December 1, 2015 — ENTRY 1: Attitude
I’m excited to learn more about writing. My knowledge of writing is not strong. I’m know this English class will give me the strengths to learn the basics for a strong writing style. Although, I feel that learning a new way of writing will only prepare me in areas that I have lost through the years. The assignments on journal entries may give me a small amount of stress. I’m sure this will build my strengths as a writer.
Inventory: I was very shocked to see that through the quiz that I’m social, creative, verbal, rational and concrete. One way I want to improve as a writer is to verbally be better. The other way I would like to improve is to be concrete. As I have said before it has been a long time that I have studied English. I know that I will struggle with the essays. I feel I am creative enough to pass this course.
December 5 2015, — ENTRY 2: Curativeness in writing
Errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation affect the relationship between the writer and the reader. For me as the writer, I know my readers will have a hard time with some of my writing because of bad punctuation. For me as the reader good punctuation will help me understand what I am reading. It will also help me by looking their examples of writing. I know that correct punctuation can change the message of what’s being told by the writer.
I have strengths as a writer. I am very creative. I do have a main weakness as a writer. I have struggled with punctuation my entire life.
