Robin Li's Baidu and His Success

Robin Li,born on 17 November,1968,is the CEO of China's largest search engine company—Baidu.After getting a bachelor's degree in information science from Peking University,he went to the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York for further study and got a master's degree in computer science in 1994(Bill,P.2010).Then,he worked in a subcompany of Dow Jones as a senior consultant and a financial-system engineer.In 1997,Robin Li began to work in Infoseek in Silicon Valley as a core engineer of this company.After 8 years of overseas study and work,Robin Li obtained the most advanced technology of search engine and he later founded Baidu with his cooperative partner—Yong Xu in 2000 when he came back to China. Now Baidu Inc. is a Nasdaq-listed company and Baidu becomes the most popular search engine in China.

Roblin is a gentleman with many excellent characters.He was very clever when he was young.He got the highest scores of all the students in his city in the University Entrance Examination. He was not born in a rich family ,but he was really a hard-working person.In the third year of his university life,he studied TOFEL and GRE everyday after he decided to study abroad.He didn't have anytime to play with his classmates.Since he had changed his major,he had to study English in the daytime and write the program in the nighttime during his master's period.Robin Li is also a man with critical thinking.At the early time of his business,all shareholders thought that Baidu should gain profits by providing service to other portals.Robin Li didn't agree with them and he hold the idea that Baidu should provide service to general public.The fact proves that he is true and he is successful.
