THE AMENDMENTS OF THE US BILL OF RIGHTS

The US constitution has several amendments which include The First Amendment which constitutes of freedom of speech, religion, press, petition to the government and peaceable assembly. It states that the Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The reason the First Amendment was written was because, at America’s foundation, US citizens demanded an assurance of their basic freedoms.

Our design for particular freedom and the symbol of an open society, the First Amendment safeguards freedom of press, religion, speech and petition.

The First Amendment ensured that religious minorities were not mistreated, the administration could not make a national religion, dissenters were not quieted, freedom of the press and citizens had a right to advocate for social changes.

The U.S. Constitution was manifested on Sept. 17, 1787, and at that time it didn't hold the essential freedoms which are at the moment in the Bill of Rights, on the reasons that Framers saw their incorporation as avoidable. A spirited verbal confrontation led to the Bill of Rights being received. The key freedoms ensured in this documentation were voiced in the 45 words composed by James Madison which is currently known as the First Amendment.
