Job Summary

Responsible for providing quick, friendly customer service by answering customers questions, providing purchase assistance and keeping shelves stocked. Assigned primarily to one zone on the sales floor, but may be required to work in other areas when assistance is needed.

Essential Functions

* Provide customers with quick and friendly customer service in order to make them feel they are our number one concern.

* Answer customer questions politely, while providing purchase assistance in order for the customer to feel valued.

* Operate, demonstrate and explain merchandise in assigned area in order to assist customers when needed.

* Apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing and knowledge of weights and measures in order to inform the customer of their payment and/or the proper measurement of product needed.

* Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions in order to communicate well with the customers.

* Report any customer complaints or product deficiencies to the manager in order to make the manager aware of any problems.

* Organize and restock the end caps when necessary in order to maintain a clean and organized appearance.

* Take cash or credit cards from customers and return change/receipts in order to collect payment for the customers purchase.

* Give customers a warm and friendly farewell and invite them to return in order to make them feel there purchase was appreciated.

* The customer service associate will provide quick and friendly customer service. The manager periodically assesses the associate’s performance by means of observation, review customer feedback and occasional performance tests.
