Issue # 1

The company needs improvements in its work breakdown structure (WBS) and flowchart areas. There is a lack of communication between departments and employees at CanGo. Teams are unaware of what others are working on, or work that has already been completed.

Recommendation # 1

DUG recommends that CanGo begin to understand use the flowcharts and WBS. WBS not only saves time, but helps layout the entire project timeline with its goals and deadlines. A flowchart shows every step of a process in clear and explicit detail. This helps communicate a process to those unfamiliar with it reducing the time needed to learn the details of your business processes. By using this tools CanGo can focus their specialized individuals to work in the areas that they hold expertise or experience in, and collectively keep the company running.

DUG also recommends that verbal communication is backed up with memos or other form of written communication. This will ensure a clear channel of information and ideas that have been presented. It is very important that each department know what is going on in other departments and the use of WBS and flowcharts can assure important issues from being overlooked.

Issue # 2

CanGo has not performed a proper strategic plan or financial analysis on implementing the new ASRS system. In order to properly identify the cost of implementing the new ASRS system, a complete financial analysis must be performed. There was no mention of determining the need for additional personnel or training that would be needed with implementing the ASRS system and add to the overall cost of the project. Also the affect that the system would have on their customers. The time it takes for a customers to resolve any problem or simply reach CanGo.

Recommendation # 2
