In today’s volatile world market it is my goal as leader of the United States of America to both secure open and free trade with other countries no matter their political ties. Many of these countries may be guilty of actions that many Americans may find barbaric and unjust, thus it is our job as a people and my job as a leader to decide if trade should be initiated or continue with a country that is presumed guilty of so called atrocities.

Freedonia has been a less than peaceful place for many years now with an every day lifestyle few Americans can or will ever be able to comprehend. At the head of this tumultuous country is General Baddman, an apparently ruthless yet effective leader. Although the Generals methods may be considered barbaric by our (as Americans) standards they are quite commonplace in different regions in the world. In the past we have both placed embargos and went to war against other world leaders who overstepped our moral ideals.

One such example of an embargo and even invasion is January 17, 1991 the United States along with allies from the United Nations launched the first attack against the Iraq army. The president at the time was, now deceased, Saddam Hussein who had allegedly committed many atrocities against the Kurdish people in his own homeland. We as a country still traded readily with Saddam until he decided to invade Kuwait, which we in turn were forced to defend due to Kuwait being allies. It may be safe to presume that we would have continued to trade freely and overlook any in country atrocities as long as it did no impeded world events. The United States has and has had for a long time a very strained relationship with Russia; this presents many problems in this present situation.
