Module Title; Process Analysis and Management - 2011

Course Assignment;

Prepare a report (10 pages) for submission under the questions raised. The students will also be required to make a group presentation on their findings and put forward recommendations.

REQUIRED:

You are required to prepare a report (10 pages), which addresses the following;

1. Apply the concepts of ‘Process Analysis and Management’ to your company/organisation. Set out 3 examples of the application of ‘Process Analysis and Management in your organisation and detail the benefits to your company/organisation. Compare and contrast the performance of your company with the best in your industry through a benchmarking exercise.

2. You are required to select three world class companies and using the internet and available resources set out how the concepts of ‘Process Analysis and Management’ has impacted on the performance of the chosen sectors.

3. How would the application of ‘Process Analysis and Management’ differ between a Small to Medium Sized Enterprise in Ireland and Multi-National Corporation?

4. Explain the principles behind ‘Process Analysis & Management’ and its potential impact with respect to R&D and Innovation, competitive advantage, Lean Systems, Information technology.

In addition to the report you will be required to make a 5-10 minute presentation on your findings.

Students are required to submit the 10 page report together with the slides from the presentation.

The presentations will take place on (W9). Each group presentation cannot exceed 10 minutes.
