Abstract

"The efficiency of an organization is influenced, largely, by the behavior of the people within the organization, so that is why the most important resource in an organization is human resources. An important factor of increasing the competitiveness of an organization is represented by the human resources management, the organization being represented by human resources who ensure the survival, the success and its development." Gherman, Brad, and Dincu, (2016).

Trends in the workplace

Human resources management has the role of implementing systems that meets the business needs of an organization, while also meeting the needs of the employees. Their key functions may differ from company to company due to the size of the organization, industry and their management values. The functions that an organization requires HR to handle are job analysis and design of work, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and employee relations.

Through job analysis, a company has to determine the responsibilities, duties, skills, accountabilities; work environment and ability requirements of a specific job that they are advertising. The immediate products of this analysis are job descriptions, which has more details in its expectation of the specified job. This will help us to determine the skills needed for the positions, questions and any assessments for the interview process, training, and the performance appraisal.

An organization can determine the type of employees it needs based on their job analysis and design. This knowledge aids with the recruiting and selection process performed by an HR representative. Discovering potential employees and inspiring them to apply to an organization is our recruiting process.
