Defending the 1830 Indian Removal Act

Since the 1600s, white settlers have not been too fund of Native Americans. The white settlers back at this time do not all feel the same way about the Native Americans. A few of them like the displacement of the Americans, some want to convert them to Christianity, make them farmers, introduce them to their white culture and many other things. The president of the United States. Andrew Jackson, does not think that people of different backgrounds would be able to cooperate with each other. The Indian Removal Act was a law enacted in 1830. This new law forced American peoples east of the Mississippi to move to lands in the West. This new act would be a good idea because moving the Indians would separate them from interacting with the whites, give the Natives the power to do whatever they want, and enable the white settlers to have more land.

First and for most the Indian Removal Act will be a great contribution to the United States because it will help maintain a distance between the Natives and the white Americans. This a good idea because it will help keep peace throughout the states. It will also help boost the economy because the Americans will be able to produce things as needed. This act will also expand the country in many ways as possible. The more people move around and combine their cultures with others, the more the United States will become a better place.

Secondly, this treaty would be a good idea because it will give the Indians freedom. This is what they have been wanting from the start. Not many arguments and fights would happen between the whites and Natives. They would not have to worry about the states laws or anything. Another reason is because they will be able to grow what they want, live how they want to live, and do anything they wish to do.
