Question 1

The figure 8-1 contains some terms or words are in a different language which should not be the case thus making the page design to be incorrect. This is because the page is meant to be used by users from different cultures. Therefore, if one want to have different cultures use the page, he or she has to design or set the language to be able to switches all its contents from English to France or Spanish, as well as any other languages needed. In addition, the page should not show information randomly in different languages.

Additionally, the page is slow at loading and displays the progress of the page load on the left hand side of the page which is not a usual act of the web design. Furthermore, the server where the pictures are being held in seems to be the challenge as result to the big blank grey spots and the slow progress of loading the page. I like the click to act method they have. Overall, I believe the page has limited capabilities to help most users’ interactivity.

Question 2

First of all one need to think about what the user is expected to do if they do not know anything when developing a help system. In addition, the help system requires to be simple as well as easy to access. Help messages should be precise, brief and to the point and easily understood. In addition the help messages should show the users how do to something. When designing a help message I would incorporate a help by explaining to guests how to look at their point’s record.

This way if a user wants to know how he or she got the points the help system one design can show the most unknowledgeable computer person easy transition to the information they are looking for. The help system should be simple organized and to show what to do. It should have the ability to show the users how do to something.
