ABSTRACT

The main purpose of this summary is to introduce a brief about the description of customer-supplier relationships, important elements such as interactions and reciprocity, commitment and trust which lead to form a positive customer-supplier relationship. Also the important aspects such as relationship life cycle will be briefly introduced. Finally, different type of communities will be introduced at the end of this summary.

INTRODUCTION

Relationships are formed through feelings that two people have a mutual attraction, consideration, dependency, like, and respect. The relationship implies interactions between the two parties for a certain period of time which significantly forms the nature of the relationships between the two parties. The relationship between customer and supplier begins with the idea and belief that the supplier is going to understand and fulfill customer needs. Suppliers must understand that the ball is in their court, and the customer-supplier relationship begins with the opportunity to demonstrate their sensitivity to the customer’s needs.

DESCRIPTION OF CUSTOMER-SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS:

The relationships between customer and supplier may be present at three deferent levels: primary, secondary, and also it may lie somewhere between secondary and primary relationship. Primary relationship involves long-term interpersonal relationships based on deep emotional bonds. The secondary relationships are relatively short-term relationships with a limited degree of interactions. Primary relationship: involves basic long-term interpersonal relationships which are based primary on emotional bonds and the feeling of mutual obligation towards one another.
