Abstract
For assignment three I was task envision an organization (profit, nonprofit, product-or service-driven) with 200 people in which 20 are identified leaders. During this assignment I will be required to address the following questions within the guidelines of the paper.
1. Formulate a talent management strategy to encompass the entire talent requirements of the organization.
2. Determine the key components of talent management, including identifying, assessing, and developing talent.
3. Examine how the talent management process is a strategy for a competitive advantage for your organization.
4. .Assess how the talent management strategy should change with the anticipation of the organization doubling in five to six (5-6) years.
Assignment 3: Talent Management Strategy
The organization I chose for assignment three is called Community Education Center. Community Education center is a leading national provider of rehabilitative service for offenders in reentry and prison treatment facilities, as well as providing comprehensive management of county, state, and federal jail and detention facilities. Recently, Community Education Center won a contract bid to manage the George W. Hill correctional facility. The contract stated the facility will maintain the current status of (300) three hundred correctional guards. The contract also stipulated the county will pay for 20 managers that will run consistent to the staffing plan.
The key component to identifying talent management at the George W. Hill correctional facility begins with assessing the current talent, building a strong recruiting base, design and effective training program for managers that can expand through the facility, retention, and develop career path goals for existing talent and leaders.
