The videos have been released that show the mayor donating a large sum of money to an unspecified local charity arose, the fact that he has a long and distinguished record of helping children in need tops the videos. The mayor would not do such a thing. I don’t think he should be forced resign just yet. We need all the facts first. It would be nice to know the specific charity to know where the donation went and how it will improve schools. If it really did go to a good cause, then I don’t think the mayor should be forced out of the position. All individuals who handle campaign receipts and expenditures must follow the record keeping procedures required, but in my opinion that doesn’t make him, he is misusing the campaign contribution. I do agree with the majors justification of misusing the campaign contributions, because why not help the future of tomorrow, if the children succeed we succeed, I don’t think it is cause to resign on his part. I would ask more questions, do more research, and investigate what is going on so I have enough information in order to develop and educated opinion on the matter. I find that my approach is the best way for me to assess and evaluate situations when I am on the outside looking in. The mayor also may know confidential details that the public may not even have access to that influenced his decision. It is ability to think clearly and rationally, to come up with a creative solution to a problem Critical thinking plays a crucial role in evaluating new ideas, selecting the best ones and modifying them if necessary.
