How to discipline yourself to prioritize time and do everything

Being disciplined with one’s self allows life to be enjoyable, tamed and less hectic compared to someone who’s undisciplined. Time management is the key to endure life in today’s society and is the major key for success. From corporate workers, doctors, martial artist, students, artist and etc., Life for all occupations you choose require a work ethic for you to thrive in it. We all know the college student who finishes his assignments last minute and it causes a great deal of stress, sometimes he or she doesn’t even attempt the work due to the clutter they buried themselves in. The problem is simple and so is the solution if plotted correctly.

THE number one thing that cripples a majority of the youth from doing work is TECHNOLOGY! (Computers, social media, phones, television and etc.). These distractions have to be put away from your vicinity in order to obtain full focus. Easier said than done but the main root of discipline is just practice. Practice never betrays you and will forever be a skill that progresses your overall livelihood. Once you’ve started a task, have a mental goal in mind. Goals keep the motivation going and the vision for the success crystal clear. Without goals, you can easily drift out into a fantasy land and completely avoid doing any work at all. If you’re able to persistently keep the routine of your work ethic going, you’ll find your body automatically adjusted to just working, and sometimes it’ll be a subconscious thing that requires zero thinking.

Now of course it’s harder to be self-disciplined in a time like ours, considering everything around us is a distraction. The best solution to a simple problem is to surround yourself in a more studious environment, for example: The library, a local café, your school or any other productive setting.
