Company Background

CITIC Capital Holdings Limited (“CITIC Capital”) is an alternative investment management and

advisory company founded in 2002. CITIC Capital is a subsidiary company of CITIC Group, which

is a state-owned investment company of China. CITIC Capital manages USD6.5 billion of capital

from a diverse group of international and Chinese investors.

CITIC Capital sets offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Tokyo and New York. The

company currently employs over 200 staff members.

The company’s core businesses include Private Equity, Real Estate, Structured investment and

Finance, Asset Management and Venture capital. The following diagram shows the company’s

As we can see, Private Equity accounts for nearly 40 percent of the company’s total investment.

CITIC Capital Partners, the private equity arm of CITIC Capital, invests globally in companies

which are capitalizing upon the growth and productive resources of the Chinese economy. The

company operates in China, Japan and the U.S., and in the past few years the company has

invested in 46 investments. CITIC Capital currently manages USD2.6 billion of committed capital.

There are three major categories of CITIC Capital’s private equity: China Private Equity, Japan

Private Equity, and International Private Equity.

Based in Shanghai, China private equity team engages in buyouts and strategic investments in

leading Chinese companies. Due to extensive relationship base and deep understanding of the
