Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Mixed Martial Arts has roots that go back to ancient Olympics. It is growing in popularity each and every year. It can be viewed in 130 different countries and in 20 different languages worldwide. Mixed Martial Arts is a sport that has history and changing every day.

MMA has roots that can be linked all the way back to ancient Olympic combat sports in 648 BC. It was originally a sport that combined just wrestling and boxing in its earliest stages. Mixed Martial Arts in the United States was inspired bay tournaments in Brazil know as Vale Tudo. Vale Tudo, meaning anything goes was started over 80 years ago. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is a promotion company for mixed martial arts. Mix Martial Arts is now is one of the most popular sports in the world due greatly to the UFC organization. MMA is the only sport in the world that brings so many different backgrounds and disciplines to get together and gives them a stage to compete on. It gives the fighter a level playing field with strict rules, but still allows them to show their disciplines that they have worked to prefect for years. MMA attracts people from all over the world not as competitors but as spectators as well. This is why MMA is believed to be the fastest growing sport in the world.
