Anna Liza

Anna Lisa is a Philippine television series produced by GMA Network. It was also the network's very first soap opera in a primetime slot. Launched in 1980, the series received the attention of thousands of Filipinos—making it one of the most popular and well-loved drama series of all time. The series ended because of Julie Vega's sudden death, resulting in the serial having incomplete storyline. Shortly after Julie's death, reruns were aired from the beginning of the series, its final episode being in 1986. It was replaced by Mirasol del Cielo.

Recently, GMA Network's chief competitor, ABS-CBN announced that they got the rights to remake Anna Liza from its original director, Gil C. Soriano. Andrea Brillantes will play the lead role

John en Marsha

John en Marsha started in 1971, a year before Martial Law, on RPN Channel 9. It was written, and directed by Ading Fernando. Boots Anson-Roa and Helen Gamboa were considered for the role of Marsha, his wife in the show before Nida, who was doing Wala Kang Paki with Nestor de Villa, eventually got the part. Before Dely Atay-Atayan, Chichay was also considered for the role of Doña Delilah, his wealthy and condescending mother-in-law. His real son Rolly Quizon and then-child actress Maricel Soriano played their kids. John en Marsha was such a hit that movie versions of the show were made eight times.

Flordeluna

At the age of nine, she became a newscaster for the RPN 9's Newswatch Junior Edition. She got her biggest break from the same channel when she got the lead role in the soap opera Flordeluna a top-rating and phenomenally successful TV soap where she played Flor from 1979 until 1985, when she quit showbiz. The soap continued to air a few more years after Janice left but it started going on a downward trend and never regained its popularity. (It was remade by ABS-CBN in 2007 but based it more closely on the original radio serial by Marcos Navarro Sacol; it was not as well-received as the original show).
