“Ask any sponsorship seller about the hottest category in pro sports, and nearly everyone will point to one sector: Fantasy Sports.”(Devils, pg.1). For example, in 2014, FanDuel has recently received a $70 million from NBC Sports ventures and other firms. DraftKings also raised more than $40 million. FanDuel quickly signed its first partnership with about a $2 million deal with the Orlando Magic. They signed another deal shortly after that and are currently in the process of signing some more deals. DraftKings has deals with many different sports including the NFL, MLB, and even the World Series of Poker. This source has clearly shown what fantasy sports sites have become and how big they are growing.

In 2014, the top sponsor of the World Series of Poker was a daily fantasy sports site, DraftKings. This was the first time in a long time that it was not an online poker site. When it came down to the final table, DraftKings was able to earn the most signees compared to all the other sponsors. This deal is arguably what made DraftKings to become so popular going forward. Following the World Series of Poker, they took over the NFL with their online fantasy sports site. This source is very useful because it was the start of an upward trend for this fantasy sports site and showed what they were able to become.
