The airline should concentrate on the cost advantage. This would help the company to have a competitive advantage over the competitors since the customers would prefer the airline with the least travel expenses. The airline can use the process technology theory, which focuses on innovation, productivity, design, and efficiency in order to reduce the costs. Innovation can be implemented through ordering for aircrafts, which consume less fuel. The best recommendation would be to purchase either Boeing or Airbus products since the two companies consider fuel consumption in the production process of their brands. Additionally, Qantas can use the strength of resources to form alliances with other airlines particularly Emirates. This will help the company to open up into new markets such as Asia. In doing this, the brand name would be maintained thus earning the airline more customers compared to its competitors. This will also help boost the competitive advantage for Qantas. Innovation and efficiency can be improved through investing in infrastructure. For instance, in order to achieve quality services, the airline can provide entertainment for its passengers. This can be done through installing entertainment systems in the aircrafts to keep he passengers entertained during their flight. On the other hand, the airline can provide lounges and terminals as well as a human resource department, which will work towards maintaining the services offered by the airline.

Economies of learning can be implemented in order to reduce the problem of conflicts among employees. This will also reduce errors in the airline business. The problem of employee disputes can be mitigated through creation of a human resource support team. It is evident that disputes in the workplace can lead to the bad name of the company.
