Cell Phone Technology

There are many uses of cell phone technology today in society. Cell phones provide technology with many tools to assist in our jobs as well in our personal lives. Overall, there are more advantages than disadvantages to this technology in society.

Communication can be described as a way to provide information between individuals. We all have a need in our lives to communicate however; today that form of communication has evolved to include various forms of technology Cell Phones are convenient and popular in society with all age groups. Our society has changed from communicating verbally on the telephone to using cell phones to communicate through text messaging. There are other types of technology such as email, social media, and chat sites that allow for non-verbal communication.

Impact on family, business and workplace

The real and effective method for individuals to communicate is through authentic communication (Forbes n.d). According to the article in Forbes Magazine a study was conducted showing that only 7% of communication is now based on a written or verbal word while 93% is based on the nonverbal body language through technology (Forbes, n.d). Technology has allowed us to connect with anyone just about anytime and anywhere.

Although there are varied opinions of teens having cell phones there is a definite benefit of kids having cell phone technology in today’s society. The first advantage would be the most important for parents...
