Are cell phones dangerous?

In the last 10 years’ technology has improved drastically, it has moved us into the future whether we’re ready for it or not. With the new found applications and enhanced smart phones one may ask, are cell phones getting dangerous? When I say dangerous I mean, are cell phones increasing our harm risk? Although cell phones have progressed technology in these last decades, cell phones cause harm to us every day and it’s something that’s apart of us. But are cell phones really the cause of the bad things that may occur while in use? Are cell phones really the cause of motor vehicle accidents? Are cell phones to blame for distraction in the classroom? Should we look into banning cell phones due to the irresponsiveness of a few people?

Cell phones not only distract us they also hold the capability of tracking us, they expose our children to same things earlier than expected, and they carry germs. There are many reasons that can be argued on both sides of this question, here are a few.

Cell phones can be dangerous in the sense of causing distraction. Cell phones have become second nature and are used everywhere from our bedrooms to the rest room while taking a shower. Cell phones distract us from paying attention to our surroundings. Cell phone usage while driving is one of the most caused reasons cited during traffic accidents. Although cell phones were a go to answer, when those responsible for an accident were questioned with “what happened?” it is not to blame for a human being mistake. Cell phones cannot operate motor vehicles, people do. In 2016 we have to hold people accountable for their actions. In conclusion, cell phones assist and provide safe harbor for many of us on a frequent basis. Cell phones are not dangerous to a user both physically or mentally.
