Case Study Analysis Report

Statement of the Problem:

McDonald's Corporation, despite the fact that it promised three things to customers such as inexpensive food with consistent taste regardless of location, quick service, and a clean, familiar environment and pioneered in the development of convenience-oriented features in the food industry, faced competitive attacks from several directions. In order to solve the problems, we lay down these problems before we can make counter attacks. The problems, in a nutshell are the following:

1. Customers' desire for new taste;

2. Customers seeking high-quality menu items in more comfortable surroundings;

3. Establishment of more restaurant chains;

4. Losing touch with modern American lifestyles;

5. Government restrictions.

Q: How can the company solve the competitive attacks that are being thrown at them?

Areas of Consideration

Strengths

- One of the strengths of McDonald’s Corporation is that they make sure that they would be able to provide their customers inexpensive food with consistent taste regardless of location, quick service, and a clean, familiar environment. Also, they have drive-through windows and playgrounds for the children. With these things, people will surely think that they are a worthy brand and they would eventually buy from McDonald’s. - McDonald’s has an effective way of promoting their brand that results to good and high sales. They have a global communication strategy in which their tagline “ I’m lovin’ it” is known around the world. (Social Strength)

- McDonald’s always makes sure to give the needs and wants of their customers. They made different meals that would suit every region in every country. Also, they depended it on the beliefs, habits, and tastes of the customers. (Social Strength)
