Axonic empire #1

The neurons send messages from the brain to different parts of the body which carries different types of information such as pain, euphoria etc. These messages are called action potentials. Neurons are very important because this is how our brains control our bodies. With the signal capabilities of neurons within the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system could be weakened or even lost. Because the myelin increases the speed by which impulses travel. With the lose of myelin would sever the path of the impulses or even at the very least slow them down. If we were to ingest the juice our motor skills would be severely damaged or would be lost, but our motor neurons could be damaged to the point of no repair. Optic neuritis is something that can occur in either children or adults; this may also involve one or both of a person's optic nerves. This is an inflammation in a person’s optic nerve. With the optic nerve this is a structure that connects a person's eye to their brain. The optic nerve is comprised of axons to which originate in the retina of each eye. The optic nerves carries the visual information from the person's retina to the nerve cells within the person's brain stem where the information is then relay/health/autoimmune diseases/Information regarding autoimmune disease to the area of the person's brain that recognizes vision, which is referred to as the, 'occipital cortex.' With optic neuritis it commonly affects young adults between the ages of eighteen and forty-five years of age. With the average age of people that are affected by optic neuritis is between thirty and thirty-five. But there are more females are affected than males. While there is no exact cause to optic neuritis, there are medical scientists that believe that it is a form of an autoimmune disorder.
