Compare/Contrast Soda

If you are old enough and hear the sentence “Take the Pepsi Challenge”, two things will come to mind. One is that you became a die-hard Pepsi drinker they day you participated or two, the challenge made you love Coca-Cola even more, maybe even out of spite. And given the fact that when you enter any franchised restaurant today you will most likely find that the carbonated beverage of choice is Coke, I’m starting to wonder if more American’s chose the spiteful option during the fun loving event. An actuality that baffles me to this day, as I am a fully fledged member of the “Pepsi Generation” and find it hard see how anyone could choose to drink a glass of Coca-Cola instead of Pepsi.

For me, Coke has a bitter taste and offers a chemical after taste that lingers long after you have finished drinking a cup. It is not sweet enough for my taste buds and does not appeal to any of my senses. Even the carbonated bubbles seem to give off an odor that burns the lining of your nose. Needless to say, Coke is not my drink of choice. So, when I find myself dining out for the evening and Coke is even offered in the establishment, I will either choose to partake in a sweet tea or a nice glass of water or I will simply avoid that restaurant all together. Yes, I realize that the latter of the two is an extreme measure to take when simply discussing a beverage but when it comes to my love of Pepsi products; I will stop at nothing to make my meal superb!

Therefore, it would be safe to say that hat Pepsi products are the gateway to my drinking happiness. Pepsi and Mt. Dew are the only two sodas found within my home, as even the color of the cans bring out a smile of contentment on my thirsty lips. For me, Pepsi has smooth, sweet taste and unlike Coca-Cola; Pepsi is never harsh and never leaves a chemical aftertaste in my mouth. I even enjoy inhaling the tiny effervescing bubbles sometimes!
