Mission Trip Part A

The three countries I have chosen to decide my mission trip on is, Indonesia, Andorra and Armenia. I will be taking 7 people along with myself so that is a total of 8 people. Our target population is 1,000 people. And for each country we have decided to provide help in the medical field with getting more hospital beds. In each country there is a very poor percentage of hospital beds to every 1,000 people.

Our target population in Indonesia will look like this is 5 years- the growth rate is 0.92% for 1,000 people in 5 years= 0.92x1000=920x5=4,600 people. So it would increase to 5,600 people.

Our target population in Andorra will look like this in 5 years- the growth rate is 0.12% for 1,000 people in 5 years= 0.12x1000=120x5=600 people. So it would increase to 1,600 people.

Our target population in Armenia will look like this in 5 years- the growth rate is 0.15% for 1,00 people in 5 years=0.15x1000=150x5=750 people. So it would increase to 1,750 people.

The economic reasons for choosing these countries is that they all have poor medical care. With there being limited physicians but not only that the number of beds per 1,000 people is very bad. In Indonesia there are 0.9 beds/1,000 people. In Andorra there is 2.5 beds/1,000 people. And in Armenia there is 3.9 beds/1,000 people. If we can help increase the number of hospital beds and potentially gain more medical providers this would help them with receiving timely efficient medical care for a better success rate in medical care.

The countries that we chose are good for the mission trip because they are countries that are in need, the language is on the easier scale to learn and it has a better success rate than other countries. The only concern is with the governments in all three countries. We need to not venture past were we are expected to go, and we need to plan accordingly with each government agency to...
